A man entered the Wells Fargo Bank on Harrison this morning and demanded cash.
Bank workers gave the man cash, but he did not flee. Instead, he sat in the bank lobby and waited for the police.
Butte officers arrested the man without incident. No one was hurt, and no weapon was involved, a text from Sheriff Ed Lester said.
The man is 45, and in custody. He is from Butte.
Police are conducting a search of a vehicle in the bank parking lot.
The matter is under investigation.
