Daniel Jay Ball


Daniel Jay Ball passed away Sunday morning at his home in Butte. 

He was born in Butte September 10, 1970 to LeRoy and Joan (Preston) Ball and attended local schools including the Whittier, East Junior High and Butte High School.  He served his country during Desert Storm with the United States Marine Corp and, following his honorable discharge, returned to Butte where he worked at Montana State Prison and then with the United States Postal Service for ten years. 

Daniel was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing and camping and was just an all-around fun guy to be with.

He is preceded in death by his father LeRoy Ball and two brothers, Ricky and Alvin Ball.  Survivors include his son, Keaton Ball, daughters, Kylah Ball and Kami Ball, mother, Joan Ball all of Butte, brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Marcy Ball of Ashburn, Washington and David and Kamada Ball of Deer Lodge, sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Harry Freebourn of Butte, Lori and Ray Campbell of Butte and Keri and Mark Brashears of Oroville, California.  Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Heaven gained another great angel.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be conducted Monday morning, December 2nd in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home at 11 o’clock with Pastor Randy Lindgren officiating.
