Butte High Speech students seek donations for National Finals

Butte High Speech and Debate students Zoe Holman and Luke Wilde are asking for public donations in order to attend and compete in the National Speech and Debate Finals in Birmingham, AL in June 2013.

Both students have qualified to compete in the national tournament.  Holman qualified in Domestic Extemporary Speaking and Wilde qualified in International Extemporary Speaking.  Holman is a freshman and Wilde is a senior.  Because the tournament is out of state and is a post-season event, students are required to raise all needed funds for airfare, hotel rooms for a week, meals and registration.  Each student will need to raise $1,300 by June 1.

Anyone wanting to send a donation can make out a check or send a cash donation to “Butte High Speech and Debate (account 168)” and send to coach Roger McCullough at Butte High School, 401 S. Wyoming, Butte, MT  59701.  Since Butte High is a non-profit organization, donations are tax deductible.
