
Anaconda Ensemble Theatre starts the spooky season off right, continuing their highly regarded Community Reading Series at Gunslinger Gulch! Featuring 'The Drunken Gunfighter's Ghost’ by Marc Littman and ‘Overcome’ by Bara Swain, both pieces have a mysterious feel, perfect for this time of year!
This is the 7th installment of the Community Reading Series, a professional but community-based project, with affordable tickets and the world premiere shows are performed in locations where "theatre typically isn't, such as shops, bars, bed and breakfasts, galleries and more.
Produced by Jackie Vetter (Anaconda, MT), both productions are directed by Valerie Guyant (Havre, MT), with stage management by Caleb Hill (Butte, MT). The casts include David Coleman II (Butte, MT), Brent Markee (Anaconda, MT), Trapper Bishop (Helena, MT), Amber Flanagan (Butte, MT), Ashley Rae McGee (Butte, MT), Heather Michele Sackett (Bozeman, MT) and David B. Coleman Sr. (Butte, MT).
Both presented one night only on October 19th at Gunslinger Gulch, 'The Drunken Gunfighter's Ghost' is about a drunken gunfighter actor in a desert ghost town turned tourist trap, who confronts his troubled past. And 'Overcome' tells the story of two intruders who visit Judy to help comfort the overcome young woman. You can see these pieces at 7:00 pm for $15 each night!
