NEWS RELEASE:

New Exhibit Explores the World of Electricity

January 8, 2019

HELENA, MT—ExplorationWorks is pleased to announce the upcoming installation of their new exhibit: Electricity!

Built in partnership with NorthWestern Energy, this hands-on exhibit explores something we use every day – electricity! A few of the exhibit components including making static electricity with a Van de Graaff generator, creating electricity with a bike, and finding out where the electricity in your house comes from. The exhibit will also feature some of NorthWestern Energy’s upcoming projects, including their LED streetlight project.

“It’s been a blast working with NorthWestern Energy to build this exhibit. Electricity is something we consume every day and we know so little about how it works. The hope is that everyone who sees this exhibit will have fun getting to know more about electricity and maybe be a more conscious consumer”, said Matt Jetty, ExplorationWorks’ Exhibit Manager.

ExplorationWorks will re-open to the public on Thursday, January 10 at 10:00 a.m. Electricity! will be on display through May 2019.
